Cory Mau

Cory Mau is one-third of the Hawaiian music trio: Ke ʻOlu. He was born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, spending his early years in Liliha and attended the Kamehameha School – Kapālama Campus since kindergarten. Through his education at the age of 13 years old, he gained an appreciation for music. The first instrument he learned to play was the ʻukulele. He took lessons from the Roy Sakuma ‘Ukulele Studios. Cory graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, with a Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education. He is currently an elementary teacher at Kamehameha School – Kapālama Campus and also works part-time at the Roy Sakuma ‘Ukulele Studios as a ʻukulele instructor. On evenings and weekends, he gets to pursue his passion for making music as a part of Ke ʻOlu with his besties Krystal Mokuahi and Hiʻi Asing. Cory has an appreciation for and is influenced by all genres of music – from pop music of today and going all the way back to the 70s.
